What content should I provide for the site?

You should provide all of the text and images for the site.

There will also be additional photography available from our own library and from stock photography if you require them. (Cost will depend on the package you choose and we can discuss your requirements during the project).

How long will it take to finish the site?

This will depend on the size and type of the site.

For a general guide, a 10 page (bronze template package) site will take about 2 weeks to go live once we have the content and the site layout has been agreed upon. You can produce the textual content for the site at your own rate if you wish. Any delays in the production of the textual content will obviously delay the project as a whole.

A silver template package will take up to 3 weeks and a gold template package up to 4 weeks.

We will set the time of delivery in writing before you make any financial commitment.

A custom package delivery time will depend upon the size and complexity of the project and we can finalise this before we commence the project.

When will you contact me about site progress?

We will contact you throughout the development of the site.

At certain points of the site development we will require approval and sign off:

  1. After site designs have been made.
  2. 1st revision.
  3. After the first draft of the site is complete.
  4. Final revision.
  5. When the site is going live.

This will also depend on the package you choose.

Will I be able to view my site during development?

Usually we can make arrangements for you to view the site during development on a secure part of our own site using a username and password.

How will ongoing site maintenance be handled?

After the site has been delivered and is live, you may make up to 3 formal change requests at no charge. This would include changes to textual and or image content.

Further changes will involve a charge on an hourly basis.

However, very minor changes (such as a customers' comment in a guestbook will be implemented without charge).

Can I choose my own web address?

Of course you can choose your own web address (domain). For best results keep it short if possible and suitable for the site content. As long as it's available you can have it.

Will I need a database?

A database is any collection of information that is specially organized for rapid searching by a computer. There are many uses for a database and if you could benefit from one we will advise you.

How many revisions can I make to the 'look and feel' of the site design?

We will supply you with the site design depending on the package you choose (number of designs depends upon the budget). Once you have chosen the one you like and we have finalised the design, there will be no more alterations. More revisions will be charged as extra. However, as mentioned previously, you will be permitted to make 3 change requests to textual or image content at no charge after the initial release of the site.
